This Boeing 747 leading edge landing light has been repurposed as a table lamp. The polished leading edge and lens, which is pitted and frosted through thousands of hours of flying, are mounted, in the original housing, on a solid oak base but the lamp has been replaced with a Philips Hue Go, LED light, controllable via an Explorer helicopter cowl latch! The ‘Go’ can be used with or without this Hue system for full ‘smart’ control and has an internal battery, meaning this lamp is also fully portable.
