It was great to meet some of you in person last Saturday at Dunsfold. The Landor 747, Lima Yankee, looked glorious in the sunshine and still pretty special in the stonking great shower that soaked us in the evening.
We had to pack up hastily, while the diehards huddled under the Hawker and left with wet feet, some soggy boxes but a fair bit less stock than we arrived with, which was nice!
We did ‘launch’ a couple of new ideas at the event, with our desktop skin squares (from G-CIVO) and some quirky 747 house numbers (from G-CIVZ and G-CIVF) proving popular. We’ve listed the stands over on the Members’ Area page now.
The house numbers will follow soon…
We‘re also on the lookout for a volunteer. Our local BBC news channel, BBC Midlands Today is running a feature on aircraft upcycling and looking for someone ‘on their patch’ (Birmingham, Black Country, Worcestershire, Leicestershire etc.) to talk about why the 747 means so much to them and what prompted them to buy a piece from us! If you fit that bill, and would be happy to appear on the telly, drop us a line and we’ll put you in touch…
